I am delighted to introduce you to Cockerel, our brand-new website. Some of you may say it’s about time we had a website and you may have a point, but let’s celebrate the positive and not get side-tracked.
The launch of Cockerel is another piece of our communications jigsaw following the launch, one year ago, of our newsletter Cock o’ the North, which has now been replaced by weekly email updates and the much-improved use of our noticeboards.
This means we are sending out information regularly but as our editor is fond of saying “communication is a two-way street”, which means we would like to hear what you, as Members, have to say.
What do you think works well in the NCC? What could we do better? What do you think of the events we have planned? What other entertainment ideas do you have?
The Club should continue to improve but it needs your input, so please make use of Cockerel and our other communication channels to talk to us.
Alternatively, feel free to use the old-fashioned method and have a chat with a Committee member when you are in the Club.
Finally, on behalf of the NCC, I would like to pass on heartfelt thanks to Peter Gore, who designed and built Cockerel in his own time and at no cost to the Club, and to Bob Wailling, who has written the content and has helped us communicate in a professional manner to our Members over the last twelve months.
Onwards and upwards!
Geoff Davey, Chairman
